✦ Give context to your interview
Your Story, Told Your Way
Turn precious memories into a lasting legacy - without the stress of where to begin
Our process
How does it work
We guide you through a structured process to capture and preserve your family's precious memories and stories
Week 1
Intake and scope definition
Intake and scope definition
We start with an intake to define the scope and subject of the Biography. If available; we can process existing documents to kickstart the project. If not, we can start the interview process from scratch. In the intake interview (digitally performed) we will ask guidelines about the project so that we can tailor the interview process.
Week 2-6
Interviewing sessions
Interviewing sessions
Normally we propose 4 interview sessions to obtain key information about that will fuel the biography. These interviews could be conducted online (via a chat interface) or indirect (assisted interview via the app (launched soon)). The questions are dynamically generated to make sure we collect the right level of details as basis for the final story.
Week 7-11
Crafting the story
Crafting the story
This is the most crucial part. After conducting the interviews we have enough information to write a life story and in this phase we will propose a story line and craft the first draft chapters. This is a phase that requires active input; as questions are generated to add more experiences and make the story more solid. In this phase we also suggests to ask other people to deliver their input in case we think it would make the story deeper. Finally; this is the moment to add visuals to the story.
Week 12
Final version
Final version
At this point the full story is written and memories are collected. We return back to the initial session to make sure the goals are met. In this stage it's possible to physically print the book and also to make tailored versions for specific people.

With guidance of Abrevity I interviewed my grandmother and learned a lot about her life. It's great to have the memories bundled in a book, a treasure for the years to come.
Marie, biography about her grandmother
This is my story
Curious how the process goes?
No marketing here. I started Abrevity as I was in a similar position as you are right now. I figured there was no time to waste to interview my grandmother about her life and decided to do research how I can make it happen and journal it on the way to get there.
